Therapy is an investment in your health & happiness and it’s more affordable than you might think.

Investment
People can often achieve positive change after just a few sessions. My goal is to help you make the most of your therapy experience so the effects work for you, long-term. In each session, I am committed to help you move forward. Once we see progress, and you feel you’re ready, we can spread out the sessions giving you more time to practice new skills between sessions and see if you notice the positive changes you’re looking for. This helps minimize your costs while maintaining momentum and progress. Above all, I am not interested in keeping you in therapy longer than you need.

Individual Therapy

Couples Therapy
50 minute session
I recommend our first session be twice as long as subsequent sessions. A 100 minute session costs $300. Although we can certainly schedule a standard 50 minute session if you prefer, experience tells me that 100 minutes is a more appropriate amount of time for us to take care of the necessary logistical and administrative details, for you to be able to tell me about what brings you to therapy, what you hope will be different after engaging in therapy, and for us to develop a treatment plan for working toward your goals.
Please Note:
Fees are due when service is provided.
Fees are set in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
My individual therapy and couples therapy services are recognized as an income tax deductible medical expense by Revenue Canada and are HST exempt, so the fee you see if the fee you pay.

Insurance
My therapy services are covered by most extended health benefit insurance plans including Blue Cross. To confirm whether my sessions are covered by your plan, contact your plan advisors directly and ask how much the plan covers for social work services or psychotherapy services. Many plans require services be provided by a Master’s level trained therapist, which I am. You may also want to inquire about how you go about submitting receipts for reimbursement, as I am not able to bill your insurance company directly.
Employees of Community Living Wallaceburg and their family members are eligible for up to eight (8) sessions, covered by the Family and Employee Assistance Program (FEAP). Please contact me for details.
Payments & Receipts
I accept payment by e-transfer and require payment at the time of your appointment. Once payment is received a receipt will be issued, which will clearly indicate my name, professional designation and registration number, as required by most insurance companies to facilitate your reimbursement.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens, I get it. Sometimes you have to cancel an appointment. When you cannot make an appointment, I require at least 48 hours notice. Missed appointments and those cancelled less than 48 hours in advance are billed at the full rate.
